The session introduced a 7-pillar framework for institutionalizing robust HTA systems in middle-income countries, while preserving three core objectives of i) Equitable access to health technologies, ii) Timely patient access to innovation, and iii) Financial sustainability of health systems
A practical roadmap was introduced, outlining the short-, medium-, and long-term actions needed to transform HTA from a cost-containment tool to a true health system shaper – aligning with the theme of 2026 HTAi Annual Meeting.
