ANSEA was invited to the Access to Medicine Summit held in Bangkok on February 17-18, 2025. The objective of the summit was “To enhance the delivery of quality healthcare to populations in Southeast Asia, specifically access to life-saving medicines, by fostering conversations, partnerships and collaborations among policymakers, funders, nongovernmental organizations, industry players and patient groups.”
ANSEA’s MD Anand Jha spoke on the topic of “Widening access through long-term multistakeholder collaborations”, sharing some of his learnings of driving sustainable models for medicine access through public-private partnerships (PPP) and other collaboration models, role of international agencies (e.g., non-profit organizations) in bridging access to medicine gaps, role of local governments and grassroot organizations in addressing unique healthcare challenges in low resource settings, innovative financing mechanisms for long-term sustainability as well as the role that emerging technologies can play in addressing access issues in LMICs.
